I don't know about you but sometimes when I'm in a crowd I like to blend in. I know there are people around me that I could be talking to and getting to know but sometimes I just don't want to. If someone needs help or looks like they want to talk then I'll speak up but I often don't seek it out.

It's one thing for that type or response in a crowd but what happens when we allow that attitude to seep into our every day lives with people we know.  There are people around us all the time that need help and just because they're close to us doesn't mean they're close to the solution that God has for them.

In the New Testament of the Bible in 1 John 3:17 it says, "But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him?" I think we are built to help one another and point others to the love of God for them.

Who in your life can you help today even if you're busy? Who in your daily routine is close to you but far from God's love?
